Part of a series of yarns inspired by contemporary art: NAMINGHA

Inspired by a beautiful painting by Dan Namingha on display at the Philbrook Museum, this feast of pinks has no dull solids. Bamboo and silk sheen are carded into solids and spun alongside hand-dyed color.

The painting “Untitled (Hopi Maiden Singing)” portrays a female singer with impressionist strokes, in a pink-orange robe, her face and hair cast with highlights of violet and blue. The incredible mood of the picture makes the bright colors somewhat melancholy. The yarn is primarily made up of the pinks of the robe, with a contrast break that picks up the colors of the face and hair of the painting's subject.

The contrasting colors are separated into their own skein so you can choose where to incorporate it in your project. Perfect to complete a medium-size project or as the colorwork highlight of a larger piece, this yarn has nuance and character in a good consistent gage.

Breakdown of Skeins:
Pink Primary (3) - 126yds, 84yds, 60yds
Pink Pale - 74yds
Contrast Ecru/Blue/Purple - 144yds
