Rare antique anglo indian silver alloy shawl order or turban pins / antique indian silver peacock brooch / WOIUSA
This is a very unusual 19th (or possibly even 18th) century Indian silver.
This is a very unusual 19th (or possibly even 18th) century Indian silver pin either meant to fasten a shawl or used as a decoration in a turban. (I think turban pin order is more likely however I can't find a comparable example) They are probably anglo-indian, meant to be sold to well to do foreigners instead of something locals would wear themselves. The metal is a low grade silver alloy, possibly from melted down coins.
Condition is good overall with general wear. The pin is a bit bent (a jeweler could straighten them if you wanted.) This is a larger and heavier example, I also have some smaller ones available at a cheaper price.
Item is sold as-is.
