Vintage Cast Metal order Greek Statue - Discobolus Statue

This interesting piece measures 8 inches in height, 5 inches in length and 3.125 inches in width. This statue stands on a marble base that measures 3.125 inches by 3.325 inches. The statue is made of cast metal that at first glance looks brass in nature - which it could be. There are some areas of patina on the base and a couple of areas where it looks like a base metal has worn through the gold finish. All of these observation were made under magnification as they are not readily visible with the naked eye. The statue depicts "Discobolus" - (which is also written on its base along with "Made in Greece". This was order likely a Greek souvenir. It has alot of charm!
