Made & found in France, this antique solid wooden wall peg is as rustic & primitive as can be! Ready to be mounted on any wall (bathroom, entryway, mudroom) it's sturdy enough for even the heaviest of backpacks! Thick, chunky w/ its original layers of paint?, it's the natural dark wood that creates the ultimate in farmhouse aesthetic. SIZE: it measures 6 1/8" deep x 4 7/8" wide.

CONDITION: I lighted sanded it to smooth out just one rougher area. Then I conditioned w/ Wise Owl's furniture salve 3x for a deep lustrous matte sheen that will protect it from light exposure, chipping, or splintering. There are NO cracks, chips or rough edges; NOR are there any sticky residues. All surfaces are smooth.

NOTE: the vendor & his wife believe that this was once a lid / cover to a very large vat for pickling, and then was converted into a wall peg. I can't disagree w/ them in their hypothesis. order
