Velvet Scarf "Fall Leaves", Hand painted Velvet Scarf, Black Velvet Scarf order

With the deep black background, the leaves--in rust, gold, yellow, red, and purple--seem to glow on this scarf, not unlike light shining through a stained glass window.

I painted this one-of-a-kind velvet scarf with fiber reactive dyes using a combination of silk-painting techniques. The scarf was first dyed solid black, then dye was carefully removed leaving white leaf shapes, which were then re-painted with colored dyes. I have steam set the scarf after each step to insure the colors will be fade resistant and permanent.

The 11" x 60" scarf is 82% rayon and 18% silk. I recommend hand washing, and care instructions will be included with the scarf.
