Here is the second painting of a white flower, this time a daisy. Set against a black background, the daisy stands out dramatically. While it is described as being "white", there are large portions of the flower that range from the palest gray to a light blue tint, a warm ivory, and even a medium-dark gray. It's interesting that our brain tells us how to interpret what our eyes see. In this case, our brains know that this is a white flower so that is how we (think) we see it. One of the many challenges of order painting!
This painting is done using acrylic paints on a 12" x 12" stretched canvas, which is about 1/2 inch thick. It would stand out nicely by itself on a living room wall, but you may want to consider adding the "White Columbine" painting to your cart. The two paintings together would be a beautiful focus for any room.
