Measurements: This vase is approximately 2.5 inches in diameter at opening and 9 inches tall.

Each vase is made in my home studio on the potters wheel.
After the clay is formed on the wheel the pot is then allowed to dry before trimming off excess clay at the bottom of the piece and final finishing work is done. When the pot is completely dry it undergoes its first firing in the kiln to harden the clay (called bisque, at nearly 2000°F!). The pots surface is then suitable to glaze. Glaze is painted on, and the pot undergoes its second firing (a little over 2000°F). This melts the glaze, transforming it to a hardened glass.
