Product code: Daffodils Grown in a Window of order Nihilism - Abstract Flowers Painting
order In this painting I've placed plant-life, Daffodils, in a vase on a brute-like pedestal, and abstracted both the arrangement and its domestic background. I was first intrigued by Daffodils after reading the background of Sir John Everett Millais' Ophelia painting, in which he includes Daffodils (not part of Shakespeare's catalog in Hamlet); his purchasing of the flowers for bouquets from Covent Garden's market inspired my view of the capitalism often surrounding cultivated flowers.
