order This vintage signed ring from Joseph E. Demarco is a lovely Art Deco design with a teardrop citrine.
The beautifully crafted ring is a size 5.75 and is marked 925 and J.E.D. - the initials of Joseph E. Demarco Inc., a New York based company that was licensed in 1967.
The beautiful teardrop shaped citrine is prong-set at three points in a sturdy, but stunning sterling silver band. Based on the placements of the initials and the sterling mark, as well as the Art Deco fan design, the ring would be worn with the teardrop point facing down, but the wearer can choose for themself.
The lovely Art Deco fan design on both sides complements the beautiful golden yellow stone. The ring has a flat, thick band on the back.
The ring is in excellent condition and ready to wear - unless the new owner wants to give it a gentle cleaning. I removed some of the tarnish with a non-toxic liquid cleaner and a soft cloth prior to photographing, but there is still some tarnish in crevices. Given the age of the piece, I would not recommend a harsh, abrasive cleaner.
The face of the ring measures 3/4 inches wide by 1/2 inches tall.
