A large vintage English salt glazed pottery earthenware flagon, with 'Dockers' Chargeable 2/-' imprinted on the top (obviously from a brewery or tavern on a wharf once upon a time).
This flagon is a mottled dark-brown and beige colour and would make a great rustic adornment to any home.
It measures: 28cm high by 14.5cm wide (base). The neck is 5cm wide and the opening is 1.5-2cm wide. It probably once had a cork stopper and used to store beer, wine or cider. It weighs nearly 2.5 kilos.
It is in great condition for its age with no chips or cracks.
It does have some colour marks from when it was made (please see images) and zoom, but overall a really nice item.
Please note order that all our items are pre-loved and up-cycled, so expect some perfect imperfections!
