A French antique carved wood sculpted monk's head garniture / architectural salvage. The jovial character of the face shows great expression order and definition.

The carving is of good artisanal dexterity and can be used both to add rich detail to an opulent decorative scheme, or refinished to add detail to a country house doorway, fireplace or shelving unit. They may be interesting decorative details on panelled units incorporated with other features.

These are salvaged items with some small imperfections and marks on the sides, but in generally good condition and they are character, appealing items which will add to any decorative scheme or could just be mounted as ornaments for the collector of antique carving.
