Mezzotint and drypoint creates a fine delicate intaglio print that resembles charcoal drawing. The printmaking art of mezzotint, burin engraving and drypoint are all intaglio print methods for making an original drawing directly on a copper etching plate without the use of traditional etching acids. Handmade, hand drawn and printed by the artist on his century old intaglio etching press in his art studio.

Two states of this Forest Trail mezzotint were created.
1st State: editioned in black ink on white, cream or tan colored paper.
2nd State: editioned on white paper using chine colle and several colored inks. The color version of this print is also for sale online through Etsy.
