This perfectly aged length of lightweight French cotton is just stunningly beautiful! You can't buy new fabric like this... I have put this lovely fabric in my Take It and Make It section because of it's condition; it would be best for someone with creative hands! See the condition description below! This beautiful textile is from France and dates to around 1840-1850. It's a beautifully aged length of cotton that was printed using madder dye - the rose and picotage design is gorgeous! The ground tone is an aged beige with a faint gray undertone and the roses are printed in a deep wine red, and the foliage and stems are a very dark brown. This fabric would be best for someone with creative hands; order it would be perfect deconstructed for any number of wonderful sewing projects!

MEASUREMENTS: This lovely fabric measures approximately 32 inches by 50 inches

CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition for collectors, but it can be hand washed and hung to dry. Washing likely will affect the patina, so if you like the patina I would leave it in unwashed condition! This fabric has faded unevenly; there are a few large tears and a large split in the fabric. One end is torn. This fabric is unevenly faded, and there are storage marks, but otherwise it's in lovely condition for this type of textile! Condition reflected in the price.
