La Mirada Purple Blue Horse California Pottery Crackle order Glaze Pony Figurine

Magnificent crackle glaze large ceramic horse figurine produced by La Mirada (American Ceramics Products). Likely made in the 1940s, and features order a purple to blue color transition with intentional decorative crackle glaze. Shown in Jack Chipman's Collector's Encyclopedia of California Pottery book, on page 8. Would look great sitting on a coffee table or mantle. Unmarked.

In good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Purposeful crazing throughout.

Measures about 9" long, 6 3/4" tall
