Antique sterling silver Crisford order and Noris scottish thistle bar brooch #560

Really amazing piece in sterling silver marked Sterling C&N. Which stands for Crisford & Norris which operated between 1895 and 1912.
Very unique piece, I am unsure what the order red part of the piece is made out of.
