Up for auction is this stunning, vintage,1994, Kenneth Jay Lane, KJL, daisy flower brooch with articulating petals. Brooch is gold-tone on the front set of petals and silver toned, with rhinestones on the lower set of petals. Petals spin back and forth. There is also a bale on the back, so that this piece can also be worn as a pendant. The piece is marked, " © KJL" on the back. Kenneth Jay Lane was originally, a shoe designer for Christian Dior. He later became a costume jewelry designer in 1963 and was a darling of famous people such as actress Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, First Lady Jackie Kennedy Onassis and the Duchess of Windsor. He was known for his "Fabulous Fakes" referring to his rich looking costume jewelry pieces. He has won numerous awards for his designs including a special Coty Award for his jewelry design in 1966. Kenneth Jay Lane died in 2017 at the age of 85.
