I agree, and my dad, Ken Kittinger, who was the premier Gold & Platinum awards maker on Music Row did as well. We said it many times. Pop knew George with Tammy and George with Nancy. He and his best friend, Faron Young would get called up by the Grand Ole Opry Manager, Hal Durham on nights that George was scheduled to appear and Hal couldn't find him. Pop and Faron always knew George's watering holes or "hide-outs." They'd find him almost every time and get him to the Ryman. That's before Nancy straightened the Ol' Possum out.

This 9 X 11 frame is MY project, using Pop's gold 45 from his workshop. He passed in 2016 and left behind more than 5,000 items of incredible memorabilia, including awards, hand-signed photos, signed albums and so much more. order Since I have his awards for "He Stopped Loving Her Today," I thought I would make a small "side item" showing the single with it. I sell it on Etsy with the Award & 45 single, but mention in that listing that I also sell this framed gold 45 separately. Quite a deal when you buy both, but this is also a treasure if you love George - and if you love George, I know you love this song.
