MID-CENTURY 1965 PORCELAIN WEDDING CAKE TOPPER

Flash back 55 years ago and wedding couples were still wearing white - even the groom - as they danced the night or day away of their wedding vow exchange.

You can almost hear the sweet nothings these porcelain newlyweds are whispering to each other as they embrace, surrounded by her tulle fabric gown and headpiece and seed pearl bows and fancy fabrics.

A marvelous touch to a wedding reception today, the cake decoration has a maker's mark barely visible on the bottom. It says "Coast Novelty, Venice, California".

Measuring approx. 6" x 7", the piece of yesteryear is in wonderful condition, especially considering its age. Makes you wonder if the couple who used it are still as happy as they were on the day they wed.
