Striking Antique, Preserve Dish, Silver Plated order Stand, Art Nouveau, George Jones, Crescent China, Table Decor, Elegant Tableware, James Dixon

On offer is this lovely antique preserve order dish. It's in good condition overall, the silver plating shines up well still - light scuffs and scratches commensurate with age. The ceramic dish is also in good order with on chips, cracks or restoration - notable stilt marks to the underside as well as light crazing all over but as shown in the photos all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.

It's of tradition form, the ceramic dish has been decorated with such an attractive color.

The stand shows a very elegant shape with the fixed curved handle standing out on display.

The stand was produced in Sheffield by James Dixon and the ceramic dish is marked for Crescent China by the renowned George Jones, circa late 19th century.

The dish itself measures 11cm (4 and 1/4 inches) outer diameter - 8.2cm (3 and 1/4 inches) inner diameter - and including the stand's fixed handle and feet measures 17cm (6 and 3/4 inches) in total height.

A lovely antique ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
