When I first opened my copy of Ark Nova, the coins looked really bland to me. They do not contribute anything to the theme of the game. So I figured I should model some nature themed upgrade coins for the game.
The set includes (70 coins in total):
40 x one currency coins, featuring a chameleon and desert lilies
10 x five currency coins, featuring a macaw and lilies of the Incas
10 x ten currency coins, featuring a giant panda and bamboo
10 x twenty currency coins, featuring a black rhino and king protea
The coins are printed out of resin and painted with a black primer, then with AK Xtreme Metal range paints, then shaded with inks and finally protected with a satin acrylic-polyurethane varnish. The coins are order the same size as the original coins.
