Florentine Style Jewelry Box Butterfly Top Long Legs Gold order Japan

This beautifully shaped vintage jewelry box has received a facelift. The jewel tone decoupage butterfly on top paired with the expertly applied gimp are stunning. The fabric gimp has been aged and coated so that it truly becomes one with the surface mimicking carved borders. Nicely done, The jewelry box stands on long curved legs and finished in aged gold.
The interior is all original lined in red velvet. The velvet does have a stain on the lining inside the lid. It is musical, but no longer works, the winding key is frozen.

Made in Japan in the Florentine style by order HCI or CHI, the logo is on the bottom.

Measures 5 1/2" tall, 9" wide and 5 5/8" deep. The interior is 1" deep , 5" long and 4" wide. The music box takes up about a 1/3 of the interior.
