Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to check out my little store! It was almost 60 years ago that I bought my first wind chime at an outdoor craft and art show. I fell in love with it and thought it was such a clever idea to use old silverware! So about 30 years ago I ventured into an unknown world for me! I did discover that I loved making them because it gave me an opportunity to use the creative part of my brain. I had fun coming up with colors and patterns. This is the part of the total process that takes me the most time. Once I come up with my plan, the actual making of the wind chime can begin! Putting the chime together does not take as much time but it is so relaxing and I love seeing the final results. This wind chime hangs down about 38" but it can be made shorter or order longer by untying the double knot on the washer at the top, from which you hang the wind chime. All the other knots are tripled and finished off with gorilla glue. The color of the glass beads is shades of purple and shades of greens. I used a twisted fork to hang the silverware, which consists of a dinner fork, a salad/dessert fork, a long handled dinner fork and a relish fork. They are all silver plate. I use a bent spoon bowl for the wind catcher. Many people buy the wind chimes as house warming gifts or a gift for themselves. I can create a wind chime using your silverware that might be a family heirloom. You can mail the silverware to me and also the color/s for the glass beads. Many times the buyer will want it to be a remembrance chime for a friend or family member or a furry family member. You can choose to have me add their name and color choices, too. I always aim for a happy customer! That is what my wee business is all about!!! God bless----
