order These are beautifully decorated fine Porcelain Collector Plates by the Franklin Mint. The series is Water Birds of the World and is a limited edition series from 1981. They are the artwork of Basil Ede (12 February 1931—29 September 2016) who was an English wildlife artist specializing in avian portraiture and noted for the ornithological precision of his paintings.
This is a set of 3 plates depicting the Green Winged Teal, the Canvasback, and the Pintail. These would make a lovely gift for a bird lover or hunter to display in their office or man cave! These plates are 9 1/8" diameter and include a gilded gold rim around the edge of each. They are in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks or grazing.
