MATERIALS: Japanned Black Metal back, (designed this way) Red and Green Rhinestones,
COLORS: Red, Green Rhinestones, black.
CONDITION: As mentioned above in excellent vintage condition with secure roll over clasp.
DESIGN: Unsigned, but can be an unmarked Weiss or Warner piece.

DESCRIPTION:
This piece is sweet and cheeky, playful and whimsical and unmistakable. The stones are set in black japanned metal, encrusted with red and green rhinestones. The back of this piece was designed to be black metal with more information below. It is very cool and a real contrast to your typical silver or gold tone metals which is often used to design these costume pieces.
JAPANNED METAL was used by Asian craftsmen to resemble that of lacquer work in Asian art and it was later used on smaller metal items to mimic this lacquer work as seen here. It was originally from Japan hence the name.
It is a magnificent brooch. We believe brooches are like badges of honour. They speak to the person and can showcase a lot about an individual. Wear them as a collage and this brooch will enhance any garment. Because of the black backing, it gives this piece a more rock and roll edgy tone to it. While it can't be pinned to a leather jacket for a supreme look, place it on a black denim jacket and it will be sure to strike a conversation.
