Solid Maple order End Grain (butcher block) Cutting Board

Handmade butcher block cutting board 2"x9.5"x11". This board has been sanded once, briefly soaked in water and sanded again (this helps the board keep it's smooth finish after initial washings). It has also received a couple of coats of food grade mineral oil.

End grain cutting boards are superior to order edge grain because the direction of the grain is vertical. This orientation minimizes cut marks by letting the knife edge go between the wood fibers. It also helps your knives stays sharp longer.

Care:
Hand wash only and drain well - don't allow the board to sit in water for an extended period of time. Re-apply mineral oil when the wood starts to look dry.
