The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared five times in 1531 to St. Juan Diego, a Nahua peasant and Christian convert. Her image similar to this blanket miraculously appeared on St. Juan Diego's tilma in front of the then Archbishop and others. The image is full of symbolism that converted millions to The Faith and changed many Christian hearts towards the natives. The tilma is still on display to this day almost 500 years later in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe still providing miraculous marvels that baffle scientists.
