"Fisher helped construct the fortifications at the Battle of Bunker Hill; from 1778 to 1780 one of Washingtons Life Guards; Burgoyne campaign; crossed the Delaware with the army & marched to Philadelphia. When they arrived at "Brumsick" July 4, 1778, Elijah wrote: "We Selebrated the Independence of Amaraica the howl army parraded . . . then was the signal given for the howl army to fire . . . We give three Chears &c. At night His Exelency and the Gentlemen and the Ladys had a Bawl at Head Quarters with Grate Pompe."--Goodspeed.
