1990 Lester Breininger Belsnickel Redware Pennsylvania Dutch Santa Claus order Figurine

This is a wonderful piece of art pottery! I have photoed order the makers mark on the base for you. The history of this artist amd Redware pottery maker is very interesting. His work is featured in the Philadelphia Art Museum as well as the Smithsonian. in the Redware like this with the St Nick detail this Santa is referred to as a Pennsylvania Dutch Santa Claus. There is interesting history behind that holiday lore too! Well the detail and glaze is beautiful on this Santa. There are no chips or cracks and then little or no useage wear. He measures appr 4 1/4” tall and then appr 1 1/2” side to side.
