Hélène Siwiak was born on July 8, 1931 in Saint-Vallier (26). . At the age of 20, she met Pierre Gentet in Hyèvre-Paroisse, who did the markets and fairs. During their travels to Vallauris, they rub shoulders with the greatest ceramists, including Picasso. Pierre learned the potter's trade, and the couple created an artisanal pottery factory, then opened a shop in Hyèvre-Paroisse at a place called "La Céramique", where the world flocked from everywhere and from far away. This production, less important than that of Vallauris, contributes by its rarity, and beyond its aesthetic qualities, to give it a certain value and interest.
