Vintage Art Deco Noritake lemon dish from Japan,1940s. The plate is full of symbolism, hand painted lotus in an Eden/garden of paradise. In the landscape, there is a symbolic blue tree(tree of knowledge) and there is an intricate serpent handle.

Underside reads NORITAKE Handpainted Japan and has a green mark M in wreath. The diameter is 6 1/4”.

Beautiful, thought provoking piece of art pottery. Lovely piece to add to a collection or to gift someone special.

Very good condition, no cracks chips or scratches.

Plenty of research supports the history and pricing of items.
Etsy asks vintage sellers order to note a decade when something was produced, however when there is no maker's mark on the item, educated estimates must suffice.
