Ballpoint click "Dog" pen with body of crushed order burl wood embedded in silver acrylic w/antique pewter hardware, my Item 103118

This handcrafted pen is a dog-themed, ballpoint with a very smooth, quiet click mechanism. It uses standard Parker (or equivalent) ballpoint refills (ships with black ink). This pen, my item # 103118, is made of silver acrylic resin in which are embedded numerous small pieces of multicolored amboyna burl wood. It's a beautiful material. The metal hardware has an antique pewter finish. The clip is a familiar looking dog bone shape. Both the writing tip (the nib) and the part to which the clip is attached have paw prints all around them with the words "I LOVE MY DOG" surrounding the nib. The water dish-shaped top of the click mechanism has Milkbone shapes all around and the very top has a single large paw print. I have finished the body with a few coats of cyanoacrylate (Super Glue!) to seal the wood portion and give it a high gloss finish. This is a very fun pen, ideal for the dog lover. It's slightly longer than a "normal" pen but that just serves to show off the body. order
