This sewing kit contains everything you need to make a very special baby nest or baby cocoon using basic sewing skills. This kit is suitable for beginners since it does not require any special trims such as zippers or buttons. The inside of the baby nest is lined with soft, custom Mamahoela printed organic cotton sateen. The outside lined with sturdy, high quality organic cotton. The bumper is generously sized to keep your baby feeling cosy and safe. The bumper is stuffed with 100% Oeko-tex certified wool stuffing, which is sourced locally in the Netherlands.

Unlike most DIY baby nests, this kit also provides premium sustainably produced hypoallergenic mattress foam (3cm thickness), which means this nest is a comfortable nap spot even when placed on a harder surface. The cocoon is closed with a cotton twill tape drawstring, which looks great tied in a big bow. This also makes the length of the cocoon adjustable, so that it can safely accomodate babies up to the age when they start rolling (about 4-6 months old).

All materials are included, from high-quality pure wool stuffing to 100% organic cotton sewing thread. If you gift this kit, the recipient can start sewing their project the very same day. The only additional tools needed are basic sewing kit like scissors, a sewing machine, iron and sewing pins.

This cocoon was designed to make young babies feel safe and comfortable in any surrounding. It provides a familiar napping pod when away from the crib. It is often used on the sofa or outdoors. Since may parents use a baby nest in their living space, we designed these kits to also look fresh in any modern interior!

As in all Mamahoela kits, we included only the best sustainable materials. Stuffing is made from 100% pure new wool from the Netherlands. Certificates from the International Wool Secretariat. Sewing thread is 100% certified organic cotton. Fabric is 100% certified organic cotton, printed with ecologically safe technology. All parts are safely packaged using only paper materials.

Important: this DIY kit is intended for adults. It is not a toy: it includes sharp objects like safety pins. The finished nest is not a substitute for a safety approved baby crib. It is important that you do not leave your baby unsupervised while in this nest. Never move this nest with a baby inside. It is order your sole responsibility to use this cocoon safely.
