Cookie jars are so evocative of comfort and home. I love this old poem by Christopher Morley, entitled “Animal Crackers”. I remember it from childhood. Here is the first verse:

“Animal crackers and cocoa to drink,
That is the finest of suppers, I think;
When I'm grown up and can have what I please
I think I shall always insist upon these.”

And I bet his mom kept those animal crackers in a great cookie jar!

He's in very good vintage condition. Has some crazing which is only on the outside. No chips cracks or repairs. His nose looks like it has a shiny spot, this was probably where the color did not cover the nose as dark as the other areas of his nose when he was made. Personally, I think his nose is a bit shiny because of all the loving boops he has been getting.

He's a big strong guy. He measures approximately 6 1/2 inches long by 8 inches wide and is approximately 9 inches tall.
