Vintage French passion order bottle, calvary bottle

A vintage French passion bottle, Calvary bottle.

These bottles are known as Passion or Calvary bottles and contain the crucifix and tools of the Passion of Christ.

In my grandparental home there was a similar object - a frame/shadow box with the cross, the ladder, hammer, nails etc. It hung in the hall by the telephone and it used to fascinate me!

The bottle is in good vintage condition - there are bubbles etc but no damage. The cross is a dull gold and the tools are painted silver.

It is >6 inches tall (15.5cm).
Diameter at base 2 inches (5cm)
