Made in England. Heavy duty. Victorian style. Great patina. The makers mark is inside the lid, which closes tightly. Couple smaller dents as seen in photos which is consistent with age and use. Beautifully rendered, graceful spout, stationary handle, all original including finial. Handle supports on either side are brass. No repairs or restoration are evident. Original, quality mid 19th century oval shaped copper kettle with riveted brass supports for the handle. This example is hand beaten, has a tooth or dovetail seam down its back and on its base and finished off with a brass finial to the oval lid. The order kettles tooth or dovetail joints on the side and bottom means it is from the c1860, You see a lot of copper kettles from the 19th and 20th centuries but this ones size makes it that much better than its standard counterparts.
