Pink order Butterfly, Bella Moth Mini Dome

Due to the distinct design of each moth; each art piece will vary slightly from what is photographed. My husband and I breed this species every year. Its very easy to monitor them from our screened enclosure. They have a very short lifespan, ranging from 2-3 weeks. Bella Moths are found during the hotter month in South Florida.

This lovely pink moth is one of a kind. The bella moth is moth of the subfamily Arctiinae. It is aposematically colored ranging from pink, red, orange and yellow to white coloration with black markings arranged in varying patterns on its wings. It has a wingspan of 33–46 mm. Unlike most moths, which are nocturnal, the ornate bella moth is diurnal and flies readily when disturbed. Therefore, it is more commonly seen than nocturnal species of moths by the public.
The ornate bella moth is found from Connecticut westward to southeastern Nebraska, and southward to New Mexico, southeastern Arizona order and Florida
