Up for sale is a really incredible mixed media abstract painting, entitled "Mid-Day Sun" on heavy artist's paper. The painting appears to depict a blazing sun rising over a desert landscape. It appears to be a mixed media painting, utilizing ink, watercolor, oil and some textured paper. The painting was created by Alix Thayer, a listed Ohio artist known for Southwestern art. The painting is pencil-signed at lower right. It is also dated 08/11/86, titled and signed on back and includes the artist's business order card. I've seen Thayer's works online currently and in the past and they typically range from $200-$1,500. It comes framed in a contemporary metal frame that complements the piece well. The painting and frame are in excellent condition. Small staining on the matting. The painting measures approximately 10.125 inches wide by 10.125 inches high (sight). Frame measures approximately 16.25 inches wide by 16.25 inches high.
