Vintage Navajo Bernice Bonney Sterling Silver and Tiger Eye Oval order Tie Tack - Cravat Pin #c876

This lovely tie tack pin was created by Navajo silversmith, Bernice Bonney. The pin is constructed of fine sterling silver and tiger eye stone. It is oval in shape and features a domed tiger eye cabochon that has been set into a wonderful scalloped silver bezel with a flared edge and stamped details on each side. The stone has beautiful colors of caramel and brown running through it with and exhibits fabulous chatoyancy (light reflection in the stone). The pin attaches with a silver clutch back that has an attached chain and toggle bar to hold a tie in place. It's a splendid and elegant accessory piece!

The tie tack measures about 13/16 inch long, 5/8 inch wide and weighs 3.7 grams without the clutch and chain. It is signed and hallmarked "BB Navajo" for Bernice Bonney and "Sterling" on the back of the pin. The chain measures approximately 1 1/2 inches long and the toggle is 7/8 inch in size. It is not sterling and is not hallmarked. The total weight of all pieces is 6.2 grams.

This is a superb Navajo tie pin! It's the perfect piece to add to a tie, a cravat or to a lapel for an added touch of elegance and style. The pin can be worn vertically or horizontally, adding versatility and style. Tie tacks are coming back into vogue and are a stylish way to top off a suit for a wedding or other special events.
