This is a 1915 J.R. Watkins Medical Company Almanac, Home Doctor and Cookbook. It is 96 pages long. The Almanac is in good condition (with some wear on the cover and edges). But overall not bad for being over 100 years old! This is a fascinating look at life over a century ago (with some color pictures of the products). It previously belonged to my father, who sold Watkins products in the sixties, seventies and eighties and loved to collect their old tins, bottles and books. This would make a great order addition to any collectors of J.R. Watkins or almanacs.
The J.R. Watkins Company was founded in 1868 and today continues to sell household products (home and health remedies as well as baking products). Many people still remember the Watkins man who came door to door in a horse-drawn wagon traveling around the countryside many decades ago.
