This is a beautiful Beswick figurine of a rough collie, he is unusual because he has a matte finish instead of the usual glazed order finish. This particular model (with the matte finish) was only available in 1989.

He is such a handsome chap with a beautiful open mouthed face that looks like he is smiling at you, he could have come straight out of a Lassie movie!

The Beswick Company was established in 1894 at Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire by James Wright Beswick and his sons John and Gilbert. Beswick Pottery first made its name producing affordable tableware and ornaments. It is a company with a long and illustrious history.

The figure has Beswick England stamped underneath his two front paws.

The figure is in a very good vintage condition having no chips or cracks. Please be aware that the figure does not come with its original box.
