This series was created on archival cotton paper using handmade and plant-based inks. Plants were responsibly harvested from the artists garden, food scraps, and local environment

Plants in this piece include: cochineal and citric acid. Cochineal was sourced in person in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Please note: Plant-based ink art is best kept out of direct sunlight! The artist uses natural binders and a plant-based preservative in the ink-making process. She also uses a spray fixative to help keep colors vivid. However, natural colors can evolve or fade with time.
