Vintage silver plated tea or biscuit box

This is a very heavy box. The inside liner was taken out and the glue residue and surface rust is visible inside. Also glue residue and surface rust on the bottom.
Regardless this is a great looking very heavy box and can be used for other things than tea or biscuits.

Vintage patina. Uncleaned/unpolished with general surface wear, blemishes and scratches .

I bought this as silver plated but cannot be 100 % certain that it is.
