Meet little Sprout, he is the nephew to the Jolly Green Giant, who is a product mascot to Green Giant Vegetables.
This Little Sprout FM Transistor Radio was a product giveaway. You needed to save a certain amount of product wrappers, then mail in the wrappers and a cash amount, and the company will send you your item.
In 1977, little Sprout was made in Hong Kong and shipped out to whoever saved up product labels.
This Transistor radio is missing its black wrist strap, and the cover to the battery compartment. But it is still working, I am order currently listening (kinda pourly)to a baseball game. This Little Sprout product mascot is a perfect copy to the media promotion pictures of Sprout.
