Dawn's order First Flight

Her lungs fill with springs crisp morning air and the cool dewy wind lifts her up, taking her higher and higher until she soars above the land. Breathing deeply as she finds her morning peace.

This mixed media artwork tells the story of uncovering my own inner serenity order. Each work starts with three thoughts, Where am I starting? Where am I going? and Will I be at peace with the end result? Working with different materials such as acrylic, washi tape, alcohol ink, pen, and resin can be at times unpredictable. I find myself on a journey through the unknown each time, wondering how I will reach the final destination. This piece brought me so much joy in figuring out new ways to use my materials , and learning from my mistakes. And in the end I found myself taking in the sight of new heights, as she did, not without a new perspective, not without peace.
