The majority of my jewelry is made from sterling silver but sometimes I end up using fine silver bits and pieces as well. My cast pieces are a mix of fine silver, sterling silver and solder as I save every single scrap and discard for casting. Other metals I enjoy working with are copper and brass.


My ultimate goal is to use cabochons I made myself in my jewelry but I do often use purchased ones as well.

This cabochon was chosen, cut, shaped and polished by me in my basement studio. Some stones are more fragile than others, if this arrives broken or damaged please let me know ASAP.


Most of my cabs are free form in one way or another. Calibration just isn't my style. Sometimes I leave shallow and stable cracks, pits, vugs etc for a more natural or organic look. I have no desire to work with unnatural stones. Anything that is fake, dyed, heat treated and/or stabilized is off my radar. I make very few exceptions, and when I do I will always communicate it to any buyer. I strive to know exactly what kind of stone I am working with each time. Sometimes I just do not know, and I will also communicate that. Sometimes I can only pass on the info I received on my stones. I get the majority of my stone material from Ebay and gem and mineral shows.


I am 100% self taught at lapidary and I know that one never stops learning. If I ever get the chance to take a class from a professional, I will definitely jump at it. That being said, I do not sell any cabs that I would not buy myself.

Shipping:

I now ship in COMPOSTABLE/BIODEGRADABLE envelopes or cardboard boxes in most cases. After you receive your new pretty, you can toss the mailer into your compost!


I order ship USPS through Etsy and most packages are usually delivered in 2 to 7 business days. Basic shipping within the US is free. Expedited shipping can be chosen at checkout and does cost extra.
