Sierra ballpoint order pen 9

This is a sierra ballpoint pen made with a butterfly inlay barrel and rhodium plated fittings. It uses standard parker style ink refills. Other sierra ballpoint pens are available as shown in the pictures.

The wood blank is prepared for the lathe by cutting to length and drilled for a brass tube. The blank is then mounted on the lathe and turned to the desired shape. After turning, it is sanded to 1500 grit sandpaper, finished with multiple coats of CA, sanded again to 1500 grit and finally polished. Calipers are used to match the diameters of the ends with the corresponding fitting. order
