Statement: I've lived in northern Utah most of my life and enjoy exploring the landscape here especially the mountains and rural areas. I stick to the back roads looking for scenes that harken back to a simpler time and hike the mountains heeding the call of nature. In particular I love the abstract shapes of trees and especially when they interact with the geometric shapes of man made objects such as barns, trucks and tractors. Lately I've become more experimental in my approach to art and have ventured into non-objective abstracts as well.
