7 Inch Sculptured Oyster Shells by Anna order Salibello

The oyster turns a grain of sand into a pearl, the majesty of nature. A reminder of our hidden potential.

These handcrafted ceramic oyster sculptures were individually sculpted by hand and then hand-painted in watercolor style. I apply the colors with a variety of brushes and sponges, blending and accenting. The edges are dappled with shell colors. They are carved and sculpted, deliberately irregular to simulate real shells.

Each is one-of-a-kind. No two shells are the same.

They are both works of art and functional pieces. While they can be displayed and admired as art, they are also durable, food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe, so they ay be used in endless ways.

Here are just a few ideas to get you started;
•Use it as a small soap holder on your bathroom sink;
•Place near the door to hold keys, eyeglasses, cell phone;
•Place scented candles and votives in a shell near your bath, or in any romantic setting;
•It's a conversation piece! People are amazed to discover these shells are not real!

These shells measure approximately 7 inches in length. Dimensions are approximate as each shell is unique. It is made from actual stoneware (ceramic / clay) – NOT plaster, nor resin, nor sand, nor cement. And it is hand sculpted – not made from a mold or cast.

NOTE: Photographs are for reference. Each shell order is unique as I sculpt them individually from a lump of clay. It's impossible for any two to be identical. The hand-painted colors are individually applied to suit the specific shell as I am forming it and vary in intensity. Your shell will be a one-of-a-kind!
