40s 50s Vintage HANDMADE Red 4 Piece Suit Set, Silk Damask order Blouse, Floral Velveteen Skirt Jacket, Belt, Oriental, Asian, Ensemble, Size M/L

This unique handmade vintage four-piece suit, from the 40's or 50's, has a cropped jacket pencil skirt and silk blouse with a cumber bun belt. The jacket and skirt's fabric are a vibrant plush cherry red velvet, with a raised floral texture print. The blouse is made from a gorgeous shiny, soft 'Damask' woven silk in a red and black abstract motif. The interior of the jacket is lined with this same silk fabric. The gathered cumber bun style belt incorporates both the velvet and silk fabrics. The belt is gathered and secures with two hook and eye clasps. This amazing tailored cropped jacket is shorter in the back and tapers around to the pointed center front where there are two buttons. The ornate brass round buttons are detailed with engraved scrolls around the red marbleized stone center. The buttons are on a long shawl color that starts at the jackets hem wrapping around the neck. The jacket has double princess style pleats on the front and single princess style pleated darts on the back. The long sleeves are heavily padded at the shoulders to elongate the natural shape. On the shoulder seam of the sleeve is a unique pleated detail that rounds off the shoulder enhancing the padding. The sleeves are gathered under this pleat creating a 'Puff Leg of Mutton' style voluminous sleeve. The details on this unique one-of-a-kind jacket are incredible!! Inside the jacket is a rare hand-stitched signature of 'Shirn', the talented seamstress, tailor, and owner of this ensemble, proudly displayed in black and gold thread.

The cropped, boxy silhouette, flowing silk blouse has a low square shaped neckline with long sleeves. The wide sleeves are gathered on top of the shoulder at the armhole. On the forearm of the long sleeves are five fabric covered non-functioning decorative buttons.

The pencil style skirt has straight side seams that taper to the hem. The waistband secures on the center back with a clasp and a zipper. Under the waist-band the skirt is gathered and has double princess style pleats emphasizing the hips. On most women, the hem will hit mid-calf and is long enough to customize and tailor!! On the center-back of the hem is a large pleat for walking easement. The skirt is fully lined with a red luxurious silk fabric that feels oh so smooth against your skin. This dressy evening suit ensemble would be perfect order for any event!! This power suit could be worn to the office, an art gallery opening, or even a wedding!! All the pieces could be worn separately and incorporated with pieces you already have for a variety of styling options!!
