Mistral order Fountain pen in Gold and Bethlehem Olive

A Mistral Fountain pen is classically understated British quality exhibiting precise engineering and design. The pen shown has Gold (plated) main components. The barrel, accents and cap are turned from Olive and together form a unique and bespoke pen. The cap doesn't post when the pen is in use. These fountain pens are beautiful, of exceptional quality. Olive is a stunning hard wood with this pen showing contrasting dark brown streaks over lighter wood. The Olive tree grows up to 50 feet with a girth of around 5 feet. Famous for its fruit, the tree is quite chaotic in appearance with irregular trunks and knotted branches which in turn leads to the stunning wavy grain shown here. This wood was sourced from Olive trees growing in and around Bethlehem, literally the pruned branches of fruiting, old and unproductive trees. I've included an image of the parcel delivered last year, showing both the postmark and details. Each pen ( of which there are several I the shop) will include the certificate of authenticity in the package.

The Bock Gold (plated) fine nib is supplied as standard, but if you prefer to write with a finer or broader nib then I offer a range of nibs made by Bock from which you can choose at no cost. Please add a note at the end of the ordering process specifying the nib you would like.

I also offer Bock nibs in solid Gold, Platinum and Titanium, alas at a cost (!) and also left handed nibs and nibs for calligraphy whch will cost much less! For these you would need to request a custom order.

The Mistral fountain pen is but one part of a suite of matching pens, with a Rollerball, Biro and Pencil making up the whole. These are available from the shop and to order.

This bespoke pen has been finished with very fine grit (12000) to create a high shine - the natural oil within the wood will help to maintain the lustre and with use it will get better.

The order pen weighs around 39g and is around 137mm in length, with a diameter of 8mm at the sharp end and 13mm around the middle. The pen is supplied with a refillable convertor and a disposable ink cartridge and is presented in a black box with a luxurious interior to set off the pen.
